His dad just had a heart attack--how do i comfort him?

my guy friend who i like as more than a friend but he doesn't know it--ok, his dad has had five heart attacks. this is his 6th. he was with him when it happened and he texted me and i convinced him to call 911 cuz his dad didn't want him to. i texted him on saturday and today to see how he was holdin up, but other than 'how are you' and 'how's ur dad' and stuff idk what to say to him. i'll be seeing him in person tomorrow and other than giving him a hug idk how to act.
