Christians preferably: If the Bible is written through man's testimony to their devoution to God, then why...?

Is the Bible any different from a Christian's testimony of today. Why can't Christians of today write their own "modern" Bible? Are their testimonies less important then Matthews' or John's? And since its written by man's accountant, its not REALLY the Word of God? Explain please.
