Holdin hands at school ?

Ok so me and my boyfriend were holding hands walking up the steps . And then my favorite teacher did like a hand motion to let go and hold hands. I feel wierd around that teacher now . What should I do ? 7th grade ? And is it okay if the girl is taller than the guy in a relationship ????
