I have been working in a building for 3 months and after the first week i fell ill. i had a very bad sinusitis infection and a chronic chesty cough. The doctor said my chest was clear. Do allergy shots really work?

I have horrible, severe allergies. Im allergic to soy as well as small animals, cats, many kinds of trees, bluegrass, mold, and of course dust. I take allegra and flo-nase every morning and claritin too if I'm really sneezy. At night I have to take benadryl. This is not all the time but I find that days that I do have allergies, all my daily activities are hindered. I suffer and sometimes have to leave early from work (I'm in childcare), I stay indoors on beautiful days, and I can't operate at the wildlife sanctuary where I intern. I am still covered under my parents' health insurance and I am considering allergy shots, but I'm hesitant because the allergist is 40 minutes away and this is a 5 year commitment to treatment. If these were whole verses that you were trying to accomplish then each verses bare minimum should be 14 bars unless your writing something unusually abstract. Your lyrics are perfect for underground rap but not fit for mainstream (which is not a bad thing). If your not good at rapping it out or you just dont want to you might want to think about selling your lyrics or becoming a ghost writer. With your skills you could make good profit.

Does crown molding go with country themed decor?

A little background...we have a farmhouse or country looking home (it has a full length covered front porch with rocking chairs and a swing) with tan siding and maroon stairs and deck with white trim railings. Inside I used to like old world style but it never really worked. So I'd like to go casual country (not too extreme). The problem is my dining room has 10 or 12 foot ceiling with crown molding and I thought that crown was more traditional. How do I tell my friend her house is inhabitable?

My friend has a six year old. The house is a complete mess. The bathroom has mold and mildew. There's cat vomit on the floor, along with the litter from the cat box. Is the smell from my turtle tank affecting my lungs?

I recently upgraded to a larger size turtle tank which also means that it is more inconvenient to clean. I'm only able to clean it about once a month and it always smells really bad. I tried making a cloth diaper friendly diaper rash cream and I used raw Shea butter as the main ingredient. Strange dream starting to come true?

I will just get right into it and tell you what happened in the dream. I will tell you everything that happened, whether it is relevant or not, and I will say why I think I dreamt that. So, I was at school and apparently somebody was writing a book about me and narrating my life. At one point, the narrator said something like "When he was 14 years old, he lost his youngest brother" or something. They then said that it took place at school. I went to school and my youngest brother and my 3rd youngest brother were both sick. I saw my home ec teacher smoking a cigarette (which may be related to the fact that my sister had told me something about said teacher earlier in the day). My mother came and picked up my brothers and on the way out I was crying and told her that we needed to go to the doctor immediately. I was screaming at her to call 911 and all of a sudden a strange foamy white substance came out of his mouth. (Allow me to explain that. I had watched an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that day and the father of the people getting a new house had died from getting near some type of mold and a foamy white substance came out of his mouth, much like with my brother in my dream). As the stuff was going out of his mouth, my mother started dialing 911 and before he died, I awoke. Now, I will explain other things that may have had something to do with it. This certain brother was out of town with my parents the night I had the dream and he had already been gone for two days and wouldn't return for two more. This happened about 3 nights ago and today I saw him near an area of our house that I think may have black mold, but I am not sure. Some other stuff that has happened recently: Last night, my 2nd youngest brother, who is disabled and cannot walk started screaming at about three AM. Effects of Black Mold?

I saw my little brother earlier (he is 3, and will be four in late July if that matters) over by an area of our house which has a mysterious black substance that looks almost like black mold, which I have heard is a very dangerous type of mold. It's just salts coming out of the brick material and is nothing to worry about. It's not dangerous. It'll disappear over time with weathering but if you want to speed this up just brush it off. Don't use acid or for that matter any liquids, all that will do is dissolve the salt particles and force them back into the pores of the brick, from which they will re-emerge as it dries off.

Smells like gas/mold/dead beast coming from both the pool house outside and both my bathrooms. what do I do?

I moved in my apartment in July of 2010 and in September maybe October i started to get really sick. I would start coughing really bad and i would cough so bad that i would throw up. i would feel sick all the time. Very tired all the time. When i would leave to go to work i would be fine but since i lost my job i am back home again and started feeling sick again. i have been to the doctor and they don't know whats wrong with me.So could my apartment be making me sick. My friend has a six year old. The house is a complete mess. The bathroom has mold and mildew. There's cat vomit on the floor, along with the litter from the cat box. Her clothes are piled high, as well as her sons. Can you eat molded beef jerky?

Basically my mother makes her own beef jerky. She marinates the slices of beef then leaves it out in the sun for it to dry. I use to eat these a lot before watching the process. Recently I saw that the beef were starting to mold which completely disgusted me therefore, stopped me from eating them since. Of course, I pointed this out to my mom and she insists that it's ok. She eats them pretty often and what she does is she cooks it in the oven or fry them in a skillet. And I've never seen her get sick from it. But the thought of mold just makes my stomach turn. I have just stained my deck. Can I apply a water sealer over top?

I have stained my deck before. After 2 years, it had a lot of green mold growing from a very wet spring. I cleaned it thoroughly with soap and water, scrubbing and then a spray on deck cleaner. I had planned just to use water seal, but the cleaning removed some of the stain. I applied the same stain with sealer that I used before. I have a clear water sealer that I would like to put over top to protect the deck. It takes a lot of sun in areas and the spring can be very wet. Can I put a water sealer over a stain? How long should I wait to apply the sealer?

Ive been with my bloke for 5 yrs, (its just occurred to me neither of us rememberd or made an issue of our anniversary date -unusual for me) anyway we dont go out 2gether much coz we find gettin a babysitter awkward, we have 2toddlers. Suspected mold in rental unit?

My family & I recently moved 100 miles into a rental house. The owner is still trying to sell the house but is renting it through a property management company in the mean time. When we looked at the house we were aware there was a leak in one of the rooms & we were told it was to be fixed shortly. Since moving in there has been an exceptional amount of rain in our area. We have lived here for over a month now & nothing has been done to repair the roof. The realtor brought a contractor over to look at it, but that was well over 2 weeks ago. We have heard from several people that this house has been for sale for over 2 years and the current owner has received estimates from every contracting company in town, literally EVERY one(it's a town with a population of less than 20,000). My husband works for one of them & his boss said when he did the estimate for the owner he didn't want to pay for anything. He got the impression he was only getting estimates to make it seem like he was going to fix it, but really just wants to sell it as is. As a result of all the rain there now appears to be black mold growing on the exposed insulation in the room with th leaking roof. My 3 year old son constantly has a runny nose ans we both constantly seem to have what feels like pink-eye. I also experience frequent headaches. These are not problems we experienced before living in this house. I'm concerned for our health, but since moving I have lost my job so we don't have money to just move again. What are my steps here an who do I need to contact, the property management or the realtor? I don't have a number for the owner himself.

Found mold in my basement apartment, green with white fluffy stuff?

I was away from home for a couple of weeks, and when I came home today I walked into a very smelly, damp feeling apartment. I've only lived here since March, but since the weather has warmed up I did notice it was very cool and damp all the time - I was kind of relieved with the cool air, didn't need to buy an air conditioner, but the dampness concerned me a bit. Anyway, after cleaning almost everything in my apartment, it still smelled very strongly, kind of like sewage but more just like something rotten. I looked around and came across a big patch of green mold in my bedroom, just above the baseboards, and it looked like it was growing down under the carpet and smelled awful. I also noticed that it was right below one of my windows, and I do remember one day about a month ago that I was out and left the window open and there was a big downpour - but when I came home there didn't seem to be that much wetness, I cleaned up most of it anyway, I don't know if that's what it is. I've had plumbing problems in this place already as well so I'm wondering if the pipes could be leaking under the floor making the carpet damp. I'm staying at my boyfriends now and took my pets with me, but I'm feeling really off, like nauseous and really tired with a headache. I'm going to contact my landlord tomorrow, but should I be concerned about how I feel right now or will it subside? Thanks

Any ideas on cleaning moldy window air conditioners?

Since starting our air conditions this summer, I can't help but notice the very specific and ominous smell of mold blasting out from them! I've tried unplugging it and spraying bleach water, Windex, and even Febreez just to try and mask the smell; to no avail. A solution that doesn't involve removing the air conditioners from the windows would be best, as the previous home owners sort of permanently bolted them in and built redneck support devices that would take a day per unit to disassemble. I have allergies and a 9 mo DD, whom doesn't need to be breathing mold fumes: help!

Am I going to get arrested?

Hi. Last night I was walking home from dance class when a group of about 8 men jumped out an started to abuse me and ask for my money I was a bit scared as 3 of them had baseball bats, but I decided to take out the biggest guy with a right hook to the chin. He instantly fell to the ground and so I took out 3 more of them with single punches and one headbutt. The other 4 were a bit trickier as one of them had hold of my arms from behind. I knew I had to use my feet so I kicked one in the head and flicked my show at the other which resulted in him losing his front teeth. I then absolutely destroyed the guy holdin my arms with a flip and switch move I learned from watching buffy the vampire slayer. That just left the bald guy built like a brick **** house I took a run and flying kicked that punk in the face. I'm just worried that the will call the police. Can I claim self defence?

What kind of hair product can help keep my hair in place, and not stick back out after straightening?

I blow dry my hair straight in the morning, then take a straightener to help it lay down. I have naturally wavy hair. Halfway through the day, or in the heat especially it starts to stick up.. NOT go wavy but actually start to flip out the other way and needs straightening again. Are there any products that can help my hair lay down and look good through the day??? If you found mold in a biulding, do they close down the building?

No, the building is not condemned. It costs far less to remove mold than it does to replace an entire building. As well, the existence of molds such as mildew is not even a reason to close down the building. There are but a few strains of mold which are considered harmful to human health. Mildew isn't one of those molds, and can be cleaned by use of simple bleach and water, with a bit of soap.

Laredo Side Mirror with backplate...?

A couple of days ago, my side mirror popped off while I was backing out of the garage. The mirror and the backplate and the sorrounding plastic mold thing popped out but the actual mounted part didn't get damaged. Anyway, when I put everything back in the mirror was loose, and it went bye bye while i was on a highway. The plastic mold and the mount are still there ok but I don't have the mirror or the backplate (the thing the mirror is attached to that plugs into the mounted piece). I looked on ebay, it looks like people only sell the glass...without the damn backplate. What do I do? Do I really have to buy a whole new side mirror assembly? Oh yea, it is a 2006 JGC Laredo.

How do I know if my attorney is doing a good job or not?

I know it sounds like a silly question, but after our last appearance in family court I am having my doubts. My ex filed a restraining order on Jan. 4th 2011. My attorney and I appeared at the hearing on Jan. 28th. He also served my ex with paperwork for a child custody case at that time. The judge referred the case to family court and did not decide on the restraining order at that time. He also gave me monitored visits with my son every Friday at that time. We appeared for the child custody case on April 22 2011. My ex made allegations that I abused her and our son, but provided no proof only her testimony. There has never been any arrests or charges brought up against me. She never even called the police during our eight years together. The judge listened to her testimony and then asked me some questions and decided to keep the restraining order for one year. She and I can only communicate if it regards our son and we can only come with in 100 yards of each other if it is for drop of or pick up. There was no crime committed. The judge then gave me unsupervised visits with our son three times a week, every first, third and fifth week of the month. They scheduled another hearing seven weeks later and ordered both myself and my ex to attend parenting classes. This past Tuesday we had another hearing and the judge asked how the visits were going and we both said "fine". I asked to change the visits to the weekends because of my new job and he did. Then my ex made up more allegations that my nine year old nephew has sexually abused our son during my visits. It is impossible because he never left my sight. The judge ordered that our son not be taken around his nephew until Department of childrens' social services looks in to the matter. He then scheduled another hearing in August. Our son is now in counseling and the social worker said she will do a home interview and decide if an investigation needs to take place. My attorney keeps reassuring me that she needs burden of proof. That she needs to prove I am abusive or that my nephew has abused our son. She is blatantly lieing in court! My attorney we do not need to defend because she has to prove, but he doesn't do much in court. Thee is a restraining and no crime committed. I still do not get to have over nights with my son and am limited to three four hour visits every other week. I have no criminal record. I am a recent college graduate. I have a good job and am enrolled in graduate school. I have been there every day for our son since he was born until his mother kicked me out. I have talked to people who get to see their children every other weekend and have weekly visits. Their children get to stay the night. Their children get to have a relationship with their fathers. And these people have felonies on their record and live with their parents. Am I being too impatient? Is my attorney doing his job? Why is this taking so long? It should be simple. We broke up. Neither of us are criminals. Neither of us have done anything wrong. Why can't the court just decide on custody, visitation and support and let us move on with our lives? Is it my ex's allegations that are holding this up? Or what?

dont worry about him not holding his own bottle. some babies just wont do it. my son didnt start until here recently, when he was 11 months old. but he definitely should be sitting up on his own and he should be able to eat without choking. as far as those 2 things go, I cannot give you much advice on those because I am not a doctor but he does need to see one.

I like the youth intern and want to be friends but....?

Hi(: Im Sophia and I am 13 years old. I go to church and this summer they have a youth intern. I have a crush on him, but he is 21. I know I don't have a chance with him, but I would love to become his friend. Here's what has happened the past two weeks: At church, one of the main people introduced him to all of the youth, I thought nothing of him. Just said, oh okay, he's going to help out. So that Sunday night, he was at mime practice. He told us his amazing testimony and I was in awe. Then, while we were doing a mime called "King of Hearts" and it was time for "Jesus" to do his part. He said "Lets go, (then Jesus in Spanish)" I laughed so hard that I forgot to do my part. He smiled. So I went a week without seeing him. Then, next Sunday at church he sat on the opposite side and I kept on looking at him and he knew. He looked at me and mouthed, "Focus, we can talk after church." and I smiled. So after church we had a VBS volunteer meeting. I sat in the front row with my friends and then he came to speak. I just looked at him and smiled, and he did the same. Mime started earlier than usual so I just asked my mom if I could stay until mime ended. She said yes. So, I helped my bible study leader move tables and stuff so we could practice. There were about three other people there, too. And he changed out of his church clothes and came back. Me and the other four people went ahead and started practicing. He helped me with some simple stuff. Then, when mime practice started, we did a mime that I didn't know so I just sat on the floor with my hands behind me. He pretended to step on my fingers. I smiled. He was helping some people step by step and my bible study leader told me to go and watch, so I did. He wanted me to hi five him, but I didn't see him put his hand out, so I didn't know. And that's about all I "talked" to him I guess. Then, VBS started this week. Monday I didn't talk to him but, I added him on facebook and he added me back, Tuesday I still didn't talk to him, Wednesday I high-fives him, Today I tried to high-five him but he pulled his hand back, I just smiled. We were playing four corners with the little kids and I was on the ground and my friend that is like as tiny as a stick was trying to help me off the ground couldn't, so he was right beside me so I said "Here, let ***** try." He pulled me of the ground and smiled. We played four corners and me and my skinny friend were bragging about how we lost and he was just laughing at us. There was a carnival at church that night and I went up to him and gave him a high five when I first got there and he asked how I was doing and I said good then went with my friends. Then, before I was about to leave, he was talking to some people and I was just waiting there because I wanted to say goodbye. He noticed me and I gave him a hi five and asked him "Wheres your bullhorn?" (because he always has a bullhorn) and he laughed and said in a awkward voice "Not here right now." I think that was a mistake. Then, when I got home, I tagged him in a facebook status saying: "Had fun at church carnival tonight(: Hung out with friends, high fived (his name) (our awesome youth intern who loves bullhorns(; haha) and just had fun(:" He didn't comment or even liked it so I think that was a mistake, too. On Friday I kind of avoided him. He is at camp right now with the rest of the youth, so i wolnt see him for like two weeks. I want to really get to know him but I don't know how. Where is moisture in my attic coming from?

I had a mildew issue in my attic which was remediated (sprayed, scrubbed, painted with some protectant paint, and dried out with a space heater). We didn't have any issues with mold growth in the the house but we obviously didnt want to leave it unchecked, and no problems ever since. This winter I poked my head into the attic and noticed a good amount of frost, not a real thick coating, but a decent coating on the flat boards and nails. Ive been trying to figure out where the moisture is coming from. Nothing leaks when it rains, I sealed up every type of spot where heat could be getting up there through ceiling fans and things like that. Recently during a rain storm I noticed some water looked as though is was going behind my gutters and dripping off from underneath the gutter. Out of curiousity I looked back up in the attic, and sure enough there was a small spot of mildew in the proximity of where the water was running behing the gutter outside. What are the chances that water getting behind the gutter and soaking the fascia board could be the cause of the moisture in the attic, and if so is there a simple way to fix this? My dog ripped into the trash and.....?

My dog ripped into the trash, and there was a old bag of molded raisin bagels in it. She ate all of the bagels which was probably about two in the bag. I'm scared for her because from what I'm told dogs aren't able to eat grapes or anything that has to do with them. I gave her a laxative prescribed by her vet, but I'm not sure that would even do anything besides make her use the bathroom. What else should I do? Please please help. Do allergy shots really work?

I have horrible, severe allergies. Im allergic to soy as well as small animals, cats, many kinds of trees, bluegrass, mold, and of course dust. I take allegra and flo-nase every morning and claritin too if I'm really sneezy. At night I have to take benadryl. This is not all the time but I find that days that I do have allergies, all my daily activities are hindered. I suffer and sometimes have to leave early from work (I'm in childcare), I stay indoors on beautiful days, and I can't operate at the wildlife sanctuary where I intern. I am still covered under my parents' health insurance and I am considering allergy shots, but I'm hesitant because the allergist is 40 minutes away and this is a 5 year commitment to treatment. Also I try to utilize homeopathy and at-home treatments as much as I can but that hasn't worked in the past, although the drugs I take now don't seem to do it either. I'm so miserable, I'm not sure what to do anymore.

Mental illness-Real or not real?

Has anyone noticed that EVERYBODY seems to be taking some sort of antidepressant, anti-psychotic, stimulant or sleeping pill. About a third of school age children are taking some kind of adhd medication. Honestly I believe in real mental disease that must be treated. Someone said that mental illness isn't real because 200 yeas ago there wasn't depression or anxiety or adhd. I agreed with this statement, all though I feel that the rise of these disorder's stem more from the evolution and expectation of the would. We must conform to what world says is normal. 200 years ago people were to busy trying to survive to be anxious or depressed. The hyper active ones and the impulsive ones were the split-second do'ers that lived to see another day. Now, in 2011 we, as a people have become spoiled and complacent and bored. We have central heat and air, and the 1$ menu from Mc Donald's. Our primal instincts search for challenges and finds little. Here in lies the development of depression and anxiety and ext. Lets add to that, pre packaged food and preservatives and pesticides, ext. If you cannot conform to "normal" then you medicate ad psycho- analyze, beginning at about 1st grade. There is really nothing inherently wrong with these adhd kids. Children aren't meant to sit still for hours at a time They all have there own wonderful personalities and yes some are constantly bouncing around while others might daydream. Hi there! I have q's about the requirement of cal grants. What is the minimum Gpa require? How many units do I need to qualify? I went through high school and graduate with a 2.89 gpa. And I went to community college for 1 year and I didn't do anything so my gpa is 0.0 and I decided that I need to change my life. So I'm currently going to MTI college, it's a less than 2 yrs program, to be a phelbotomy. And I took about 3 terms already and I have about 28-32 units completed and my gpa been 4.0. My parents r divorced n my mom is a single mom without child support holdin up three teens. So we are a very low income family. My mom barely make $7,000 a year. How do you transition between a satin ceiling paint (in a kitchen) to a flat ceiling paint in dining rm?

We recently painted the kitchen ceiling and used a satin paint. The rest of the ceiling is painted in a flat paint. We tried the same satin paint, but the glare with normal sunlight and even overhead lights really made the ceiling shine. Please note that both paints are off white. Now we have a definite line from the kitchen to the dining room area. Should we put up some sort of 1/2 round molding or just leave it alone?

Mold issue in a leased house?

My roommates and i have recently signed a lease on a home. After about a week or so in the home a few of my roommates have developed what seem like mold-related symptoms. One roommate has a mold allergy and her reaction has been the most severe. Our landlord has been unhelpful in the situation and has denied the presence of mold in the house. We purchased a mold detecting kit and the petri dish has shown signs of mold growth within 24 hours, so we are convinced the house has mold. any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

like I know the question may sound obvious, but there are MANY foods that people don't drink unless the food has gone moldy or equivalent; examples are Kombucha, Kefir, Blue Cheese and wine. I have a small pin head ding on the front chrome grill of my car. How could I make the repair?

I have a 1986 Mercedes Benz 190D. A driver operating a large eighteen wheeler passed my car. As the driver drove passed my vehicle, a small piece of gravel from the rear tires of his eighteen wheeler shot out and left a pin head size ding in the front of the chrome molding. (a year) then we eventually dated two weeks after their break up and we had an amazing relationship. but we hung out as much as we could since he was so involved with his sport. we dated for half a year and found out that we needed a break because the part of the year coming up was gonna be stressful before highschool, when he would tryout for the sport. after we broke up i was heart broken and rumors spread and when we heardd them we started talkin trash about eachother. i cried every night listening to our song and sad songs, snuggling with the bear he got me for my bday and holdin the jewelry he got me and i even stayed up by myself at my friends beach house for 6 hours writen him the LONGEST letter. i later on saw that his ex got her braces off and got all spiffied up and he started walkin with her in the halls and standin with her. then when people would ask about them, they would say they were just friends. i decided to give him back his jewelry because i didnt need it and i didnt wanna see it. the same night i saw him and his family at a school reunion for our younger brothers and his family was huggin on me and talkin to me. his mom wants me to help her out with all these sports activities and stuff cuz she says she loves me and that her daughter whos on the team loves me too. but he didnt look at me or talk to me the whole time. i caught a glimpse of his messages and read him and his ex's convo and there was a part where she said she was goin to the beach and he said you go gurl and she said you know it(; does that mean anything or am i just assuming things? but then he was freakin out that i was readin the messages...so i mean, that could mean something. but idk what to do. im sitten here listenin to sad songs cryin still after 3 months since the break up. please tell me what to do!

If it's some cheap little car, I don't see what he was freaking out about. It can be a bath toy. Mold problems in my house affecting health?

i am a 17 year old guy and i believe i may be suffereing from syptoms of mold including chronic cough,headaches,fatigue, lung irritation, and irritability. mold was discovered in my house around three or four years ago and some handymen supposedly scraped it off or removed it for a cheap price. i think the mold may still be here however because i have started to get these wierd syptoms within this year. i have informed my parents but they are very tight economically at the moment and cannot afford to test for, remove, or much less move out of the home. i dont think they seem to be suffering from any mold problems either idk. wat do i do?
